Sociological study: Worker from Ukraine. Earnings in Poland. Survey 2019

the EWL Foundation and the Centre for East European Studies at the University of Warsaw

Significant changes have taken place in Ukrainian citizens' expectations of the salary they receive in Poland. If in 2018 the largest group of respondents (more than 40%) were those seeking the minimum hourly wage, in 2019 only 6% of the surveyed Ukrainian citizens would agree to work for such a wage. However, the group of workers from across the eastern border wishing to earn between PLN 13 and 15 net per hour (33%) has doubled, and the share of respondents expecting to earn between PLN 15 and 20 net per hour has almost tripled, at 19%.
