The report presents the results of a survey conducted among migrants from Ukraine in November 2022 – both refugees and people who came to Polish before the war.
Important findings:
- Within 9 months of the outbreak of the war, the integration of refugees and Ukraine into the Polish labour market and their economic independence improved significantly. Still, about 20% of them are people living in Poland "overnight".
- Migrants most often worked in low-skilled industries and services. Among the refugees, the largest group were people providing services in households.
Knowledge of the Polish language is strongly correlated with the possibility of finding employment. This is particularly evident among refugees – 50% worked in the group who did not speak Polish, 82% in the group who knew Polish well.
