On 30 January 2024, a final conference was held, summarising the project 'Tackle the Ukrainian refugee crisis in Poland by improving social dialogue and cooperation'. The meeting was held in a hybrid format.
After welcoming the participants of the meeting by the President of the Trade Union of Copper Industry Workers, Mr. Ryszard Zbrzyny, Ms. Barbara Surdykowska discussed the presence of Ukrainian citizens on the Polish labour market – the current state and future challenges.
Next, Ms. Nadia Kurtieva from the Leviathan Conference, presented the employment of third-country nationals in Poland - the employers' perspective, and Mr. Kamil Matuszczyk from the University of Warsaw gave a lecture "On the need for migration policy in Poland - what international experience can be used?".
After the coffee break, Dr Izabela Florczak from the University of Łódź discussed the employment of foreigners in Poland, while Dr Agnieszka Zwolińska from the University of Warsaw introduced participants to the topic of employment of foreigners in temporary work agencies.
Afterward, Ms. Paula Barańska reported on the presence of foreigners in the Polish labour market and challenges in the area of occupational health and safety.
The meeting continued after the discussion and lunch break.
